Doug's coming to the Event!!

Postby Doug » Mon 07.07.2008, 01:53

So I am writing to report that I am confirmed for the event!

I'll be flying in Friday a.m. Geoff has graciously offered to transport me in his Elan to Hethel.

I still need to arrange a bunk to crash in Friday nite and Saturday nite?!

I have an event ticket reserved for me in the "abroad travelers" fund.

I want to get a ticket for the Lotus laps on both Saturday and Sunday!!

I will need to get back to London as I am leaving just after noon Monday.
If anyone is headed that way early Monday let me know. Or I am fine catching a train back to the city and then Tube it to Heathrow.

If anyone can help me with the above then thanks in advance!! I am just not having the time to trawl thru the posts to figure out my own arrangements :?

But I will see you all there!!

Doug, as a standby my route to Hethel takes me past Heathrow and if Geoff is picking you up on arrival I could return you to Heathrow on the Sunday evening on my way back, Sunday night in a Hotel near Heathrow would be needed for this but there are plenty available and they all (most) run shuttle bus services to the airport.

As for the Friday and Sat Night The Dunston Hall is where many of us are staying see Herewith a building number at the Cringleford travel Lodge see Here.

Great you are coming and look forward to seeing you.

Perhaps you could buy back your old BRG now that Ekapol has another plaything ?

PS The Saab owners convention is a week later - perhaps you should stay on. Don't forget your cloth cap

Not sure if it's a good idea to have our two Top 10 posters travelling in the same vehicle ? Shouldn't they be in separate vehicles in case of accident (heaven forbid) to preserve the upper echelons of LEC ?

1 Doug, California, USA, 17 Apr 2003, 6730 posts
2 GeoffSmith, Tytherington, Gloucestershire, 04 Feb 2006, 6646 posts

PS At his current rate of postings (7.48 per day) Smiffy will have lodged Doug from the top spot well before Hethel is due

The only problem with your theory is Geoff just posts a lot, there's no real significance appart from his employers are subsidising his LEC time.
