Two questions actually, firstly, does anybody know if there's a difference between the SE & the S2 bodyshell.
Secondly, anybody know what the difference is between a Rest Of The World bodyshell & a UK SE shell ?

SE has four jacking points, S2 has two. Shouldn't affect anything though.

I really don't think there is any other difference other than that. if it goes pear shaped you aint heard it from me!

Did someone say S2 doors are different ?, or was that just the doorcards ?

Still 4 jacking points on the S2 and as far as I can see the doors are the same. I'm pretty certain the shells are identical, after all the S2's were made on the same tooling as the SE's and just used up the 800 engines and gearboxes that Bugatti inherited when they bought the company. Fair number of minor trim changes but I don't see anything that couldn't be made or adapted to fit.

Paul, edited my post above. I'd go and look but it's dark and tipping it down! Looking at the 2 I have not noticed any significant differences over the last 18 months or so other than the obvious trim and mechanicals. Looking to be at the sale myself but have not yet compiled a final shopping list and don't want to compete with people from here where items I might like but don't need are concerned, although the idea of building S2 801 had occurred to me :-D

S2 doorcards have a bit cut out of the corner to accept the newer seal.

Allegedly there were 800 odd improvements for the S2 (that is why it is a better car :smt064

). I wonder if they are listed anywhere that would help.

Why on earth do you want a new body shell ? Most of yours is new anyhow :-D

So does mine now I've actually read it :oops:

. However I've jacked the car on the rear points for the last 11 years without any ill effect. I usually use a block of wood to spread the load.

I wonder where they did 800, seems an awful lot to me ?.
Also wonder if they were improvements or a just done because they had run out of SE bits. Lets face it, the S2 was only done because they had the basis of 800 cars, & Bugati needed the income !

Are you sure it wasn't just one improvement on each of 800 cars?

You just have to find out which one is on each! :-D

Ok it seems that I may have overstated the 800 improvements. It is 'over 100'. I'll start a seperate thread about differences. I'd hate to hijack Mr P's thread.

None of the differences I can find relate to the bodyshell
