I could go all green and touchy-feely about it being better for the environment etc. but I won't because I changed the heading of my post to SE/S2 DIFFERENCES. Don't want a grumpy birdman of Birmingham do we? :-D

Happy New Year everyone.

The console is an improvement as it doesn't get in the way.

So you can use the same key for the doors as for the glove box can you Monty ?

Can't class i bloody glove box as a door :roll: now if the doors and ignition key was on the same key that would be an improvement

Yes they are - that is what I've been trying to say :

S2 - 1 Key is all you need for everything
SE - About 6 different keys

Actually thought the S2 wheels with tyres were lighter then SE with tyres Paul , but not sure , you should know !

This is a wind up thread by Gary !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, pity really, it could be quite interesting, talking about what Lotus did with all the left overs from SE production !

I've got an SE but just to keep this thread on track I'll give a balanced opinion!

Cat = negative!

Locks/keys = positive

Suspension = +ve

and an extra one for you, gear change cables less likely to break!

why didn`t u just say 1 key for doors, ignition etc
as the last time i looked the ignition doesn`t have hinges :roll:

Since i`ve got the S2 front & rear upper links, OEM rear galv wishbones and a brand new S2 steering rack (to be fitted in the summer). + S2 hood and S2 wheels and don`t think the S2 is any better than Pinky ;-)

5. Hood improved
6. Dash lights always on
7. Centre console changes
8. Different Jack

18. Extended colour range, including that subtle shade of puce called MG
19. Fold away handbrake
