Hi,

It's my first post as well. :-)

I have ' 95 s2 #286, it is in blue (i think there are more than one blue colour don't know exactly), interior black, hood black, no modifications on it.
Can some one help me with the colour now that i'm curious about it? :-)

Hello LG and welcome to LEC. There is a wealth of experience and advice available here so don't be a stranger.

It looks like Azure blue to me. If you check the VIN label under the bonnet, the paint code should be stated : B20 for Azure blue otherwise click HERE to look it up.

Thanks for the link, my car is in a garage far from home now so i can't look up but i think it's B08 pacific blue (i recall that number i had seen while cleaning the car)

#799 S2 - Green, seen parked in Beckenham, SE London tucked away out of site. Cream leather.

53K on the clock, Reg N9xx xxJ

Have to say and if the owner is on here I apologise, but condition was poor, wheels all scratched up and leather in a bad way. Looks well used and abused.

Gazza hasn't got that one listed!

While you're updating the database Gazza, this article claims that the press car (#038) was steel blue and not MG.

Gaza is there a simple reason for it, that the list is not public? Otherwise one could better see, which car you have already collected.

Don,

I strongly suspect that Gary has not made the database more widely available because some requests for information have not answered. I think this is very disappointing, given the time and effort that he has put into getting the information together. By having limited distribution, there is slightly more leverage in getting information out of people.

Some time ago I PM'd him a request for a copy and have received periodic updates by e-mail.

Just to keep your information up to date, the definative answer from the man at Lotus (who was very knoledgable and helpful) is that a total of 802 S2's were made.

the last 2 remained at (and are still owned by) the factory.

It is these that are used as 'test beds' for parts manufacture (eg the 'A' post seals at the moment!), hence if anyone wants to build a new one from parts, it will have to be #803
