How easy are the a piller seals to fit

How easy are the a piller seals to fit

I am considering new A-piller seals....has anyone fitted them....what adhesive is used, how easy do the Plugs at the top pulls out etc.

The plugs at the top and the bottom are a doddle to get out, they are just push-fit plastic. I've got this far on mine.
Where I come unstuck (or not) is there only seems to be the glue holding the a-pillars on, which if that's the case will mean scraping the seal out of it's runner.
Haven't tried pulling the plastic trim that runs down the inside of the a-pillar so may be hiding some screws there.
As with Mike, any advice greatly received.

Are they available now or do you have a set? These have been on the top of several peoples wants list for some time now. The relevant section of the manuals is quite informative on replacing the seals, but it's been a while since I read it as I don't have any seals to fit!

When i was up at Avonmouth (2nd or 3rd visit!) i was talking to Neil (the man in overall charge of ALL aftersales stuff), he said that they currently have a couple of sets of seals fitted to 'trial' vehicles to see how good they were. This is the second batch they commissioned, as the first lot were cr@p.
Early signs are good, and he was expecting the order to be 'signed off' quite soon - how long it will then take for the manufacturers to provide them is anyones guess, but it's heading in the right direction.
P.S. - having seen on the news that China is a great place for counterfeit goods, surely someone must know a 'man who can' make some up, if given a set to work from?

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it
...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

I forgot to ask who was the manufacturer, I know Walkers have been involved previously, but i can't say who made the most recent ones.

It was only that i was waiting confirmation from Walkers,as they said as soon as samples were agreed they would let us know.
Mind you this was before Christmas,so their seals may have failed the test.
The wait goes on!

The seals sit in a strip of metal (Alu I think) this is screwed on to the A post before bonding the new seals.
