About time we had another meet to thrash our Elan's around the wet Scottish roads. What about meeting somewhere central like Aberfoyle like we did last time ?? Any interest or are all your babies tucked away for winter ??

Looks like it will be after Donington when the better weather arrives. I hope to catch up with Archie in the next few weeks to see whether we can arrange an LEC camping w/e at his luxury pad. In the meantime, I'm really enjoying the fabulous driving roads in the Scottish Borders - even if it is on my tod !!

My car is in the garage until the salt goes from teh roads. I'll probably bring it out in March if I get a chance to do the various jobs I had planned for this winter.

I'm still interested in some sort of meet with Archie after Donington.

Have you seen the thread Michael has started about visiting Scotland again in June? I've suggested he contacts Archie for accommodation; he might also be interested in your Inverdruie pad.

7-9 April easter w/e, what about an overnight camping trip to Big A's or Rambos borders mansion, or a public campsite somewhere. Perthshire ?

Applecross around April/May sounds good to me.

Maybe not the Easter weekend as that'll be too busy to get served at the Applecross inn, but around then should be good.

agreed Apple X too busy at Easter.

they have heated wooden wigwams, most cosy, for wimps. I stayed in one last time as couldn't be bolloxed erecting tent when there was a pub down the hill waiting on moi.

but Apple X is a f of a long drive, any other suggestions peeps.

Hi Guys,

sorry i've not been on the forum for ages but i seem to be chained to the aga these days :cry:

It'd be great to see some Elans up in these parts. We're pretty busy every weekend up till July but there's plenty room for tents and I can provide showers hot tea etc. Any midweek visitors can have a room with ensuite if you require :wink:

It would be good to organise a meet up here tho. There are some fantastic roads and no cameras :twisted:

I wouldn't recomend an elan up here for a couple of months yet as i'm fed up pulling sports cars out of ditches with the pickup. I was up at the Lecht today - lots of snow :lol:

Hey Rambo, u still going to Boness? I see the owner of the museums being investigated for being involved in illeagal chemical factory - nuthin to do with u i hope! I was down at Peebles hydro last week and was trying to get away to vist your new pad. time ran out tho.

Hi Archie,

Was going to call in at your shooting lodge last week as I was up in Rothiemurchus but ran out of time and didn't have the Elan with me anyway. Looking forward to seeing your new pad sometime - JohnW and a few of the others are also up for it - we need to get a w/e pencilled in for an official meet. Callander classics is too far off

No Bo'Ness at present - maybe later in Spring
