Sy will you have yours fitted or on display at Dony. I will make up my mind when i have felt the action of the kit. As yet i have not got AB cables fitted but it will be my intention to do the lot.
So decision time will be Dony i guess.
Could the 'Hokey-Cokey' actually be what it's all about?

Sy,
I`ve already come in to a problem with this quickshift
I think the actuator pin for the cross shaft assembly is missing as the stock one will not fit and the one in the picture below should of been supplied by AB
Did u get this part in u`r kit?

Well i`ve got the cross gate and the fore/aft conversion fitted to my spare selector.
Even with the selector housing of the gearbox the cross gate is stiff and won`t centralise

(it did before i started the conversion) At 1st i though it was the pivot pin, so i cleaned/sanded and used copperslip and the pin is nice and free but still the crossgate won`t centralise. It`s got to be down to the tight tolerances and just hope that easies of with use. Be good to know how Sy will get on with his.
Got to say the parts are of top quality as usual with AB

I can't comment yet - my fitment is probably three weeks away yet.

You are quite right. My apologies for the delay and inconvenience.
The guy doing the packing forgot to include the actuator pin for the cross shaft assembly. The correct part will be posted out to all customers today.
Please do not try to use the OE actuator pin as it will not fit.

I would also imagine that the assembly will free up on fitment/with use.
I know that Alan tests his products thoroughly - I'd be amazed if this became an 'issue'.
Personally, I can't wait to try the AB cables and shifter combo.
Alan
Thanks for the input.

First off we need to know numbers/names, of all people who 100% definately want and can afford (remember this may be a month or so down the line) this AB Shortshifter. Inclusion Cut-Off Date 1 March 07 - for initial batch.

We'll go with an initial maximum batch of ten (to minimize postage costs) and hope the parcel dodges the tax radar.
Each person must contact Preeya at AB Motorsports who will give you the details of the Abbey National account into which you can pay.
We'll try to time this to arrive before Donington (17th & 18th March) and I'll distribute to all those who ABM confirm have paid.
If you want it any quicker or are overseas and not attending Donington, please feel free to do the solo thing.

Alan and Preeya want to stick to their tried and trusted distribution method, for the time being. The units will be individually shipped to avoid the possibility of losing up to ten units in transit.
Please go ahead and contact ABM direct.

Sy,
Please add my name to the 'definite' list - can't make Donny, but it looks like the finishing touch I've always wanted. Thanks.
