Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

SBK,
Good work you silver-tongued negotiator you. If we go for a weekend (except mid July) I would be interested.

It's just not feasible for me to drive from Aberdeen for a Wednesday, which is why I've never considered the Factory tour before. However if it can be done at the weekend, I'm in.

Of course, if I'm going to drive 600 miles each way, I'm voting for the full day experience.

good good, we will just need to clarify with the insurance, may be as a few people with be traveling a long distance we could sort out a b&b and then a few drinks as we compare lap times :)

Full day would be the better option as far as I'm concerned, like John, it's a fair trek just for half a day.

My only question is can we bring along non-drivers FOC? I know the better half will want to come, do the tour, but won't drive the Elise or go on the passenger ride.

If I can bring SWMBO for the £215 then that'll do me.

When I did it, non-drivers were able to pay for the 2 laps with pro only, so don't see why they can't just do factory tour.

Just checked the calendar and the only weekend in August I can make is the 4th/5th and July is not much better, so it looks like September is the best time for me.

Ailwyn,
Sounds like you're a busy man. I'd be keen to do this before September - the year's gone by then - and while Lotus is still Lotus. I've never liked Volkswagens (see here.)
