have been looking around for new soft top and have found a place in the us. http://www.topsonline.com/ they want £320 shipped to uk which includes import tax and have been on the phone to trim tec they want £500 fitted

Will Trim tech sell and fit a new hood for £500? that sounds very cheap.

last offer I heard from those guys was they would sell the hood and seals for £500 but fitting was extra.

did you get the guys name I could be tempted.

I was at trim tech just before christmas......
they had 2 hoods left that they were fitting and then that was that.....
they will still supply the hood and seals but will NOT fit them anymore due to the time it takes.......
they are £500 for the hood and seal (excluding rear deck seal) then you'll have to find someone to fit it......
when I had mine fitted LEC had a discount which sy had arranged with dean holt (main man at trim tech) and it was £765 incl vat and fitting...IIRC it should have been £850 + vat....

ask your local trimmer if he'll fit it......or fit it yourself......

seems to be the only options left now....

right chaps there are 2 companies called trim tec yes people are right about 1 they will only supply for £500 but the other will supply and fit with seals for £650 hope this helps http://www.trim-tec.co.uk/

£500 supply only, and i presume yes to other as he said there was no problem with getting roof and seals

i dont think they do from what the bloke said today when i spoke to him and the prices are all the same which ever place you go, i believe the hoods all come from the same factory ,

They are probably not the "Lotus" hood, as far as I'm aware Trim Tech are the only suppliers, the reason they had hoods available was due to adding x-number onto a large order placed by Kia IIRC.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's any worse (or better) than the Trim Tech hood, just I doubt if it's the same.

It really would be worth having more info on the seals though, the Trim Tech's I had fitted last March are as s*** as the old ones, not impressed with their fitting either.
