Hi and welcome to LEC. The Props of the windscreen are I think the A post seals and these are not available (other than from Korea) although Lotus plan to have some more made, see the A post seal thread in this section of the forum. The S shaped ones atthe rear of the hoos are the falling pillar seals and can be bought cheaply on line from Lotus aftersales here the intermediate seals are also available.

Hola Francisco,

saludos,
al.

Checked out the Lotus sale , it says "seal-fall pillar" early type.
Any one know what year these were fitted?

A-pillar seal fixes to the windscreen frame where the door shuts against it.
Falling pillar seal fits to the soft top frame behind the side-windows.
Intermediate seal fits to the soft top frame above the side-windows.

OK, now I have a dumb USA based question; what is with the delivery method options on the "Lotus Surplus Stock Sale?"

Looks like UK, EU, or ROW. Process of elimination makes ROW seem like the most likely candidate :) What is ROW?

Lotus Elan Hood Seals

Postby algirdas » Thu 24.05.2007, 06:45

Dear Ashaman:

Lotus will try to steer you to the Bell and Colvill dealership. You place your order through them, pay them, they take delivery of the items and then ship them to you here stateside. They will tell you that they steer you to B&C because it is the dealer with the most experience in dealing with international orders.

Sincerely,

Algirdas
