So the Stock seats have now been replaced with Cobra Monaco S seats using the original runners and spacers removed to give a better driving position. Since there a hard base with a bit of foam and with the dampers settings set quite stiff for trackdays u can certainly feel those bumps, feels more like an Elise now LMAO

Since my temp gauge has always read low 1/8th on the old gauge and now on the lockwood one`s the needle only just moves of bottom, so fitted a Halfords £5.99 thermostat. Anyways seems to off made no difference but at least it`s got a new one fitted.

You can get an accurate figure for coolant temperature with ElanScan.

Cheers Geoff,

The last time i did ES run the temp was fine IIRC it was around about 80 :? think it`s just the gauge has a shite reading  BTW what should be the temp normal on a normal run?

Got the AB shortshifter fitted today and set to the shortest setting, been out for a quick spin and feels the same as Dave`s version. The advantage to Daves (v2) is it`s in Stainless steel, cheaper, easy to fit and should be able to fit without removing the gear selector. But both are well engineered. It`s a must have on the M100 upgrade list :-D

Got the Harness fitted today :-D

Passenger side is a Sabelt 4 point bolt in type which i got of ebay awhile ago cost of £20 :-D It`ll do for Dico

Drivers side was from Hanger 111, Luke 4 point wrap around (eventually i`ll put the same one on the passenger side). The shoulder straps wrap around the Roll bar/hoops. Best thing about this one each part is seperate and i can pull them through the holes when i just want to use the seat belt.

LOL

I did have a Dolly many years ago IIRC 1500cc, it was painted in red led paint by the previous owner but had no welding done on her and had all the old MOTs, let my Auntie use it for a couple of months and she went and blown the engine (no oil  ) Then it went oto the scrappers

Those harness aren`t cheap, but i will get one for the passenger side for Dico for when we go france in May.

I got mine from Peter Lloyd (Rallying) over in Welsh Wales.

They were the cheapest by a few quid to anywhere else. 2 harnesses + the eye-bolt fittings and strengthening plates for just under a couple of hundred quid delivered (2 days) - it was a couple of years ago, but looking on there web site HERE they're up for £105 inc VAT at the moment.

Nice work, Jay.

Just be sure those shoulder straps are mounted to the right thing and at the right height.

Also be careful where that little dagger on the bottom of the harness buckle presses

I guess you seat still moves, but I was about to laugh at what I see as a small fire extinguisher behind your seat. My dad luckily had a fire extinguisher in his Corvette in the 1970s cause one day his rear axle bearing went out and started a little grease-type fire. He only found out when a driver pulled up beside him and said, "hey buddy, your car's on fire!" He pulled over and was able to extinguish it with his extinguisher. The repair was pretty simple after--otherwise, Fibreglass cars can really burn (cue that picture of the Gallardo in flames).

Moral of the story = have an extinguisher in the boot or even better where you have your for track use!

Anybody knows how many yellow Gallardo are there around SF Bay. It might be the same one that waited and then zoomed passed my car on highway 280 :?
