I am taking a slightly different approach than originally intended. The now more "esprit" version. I"ll be working on this for the next few weeks and should have the prototype by the end of May.

Marie, you've got good taste and a fine sense for what looks good on the Elan. Can't wait to see your new design.

Havn't quite finished yet. Working on BOV project at the 'mo and then heading back to Chicago. Once I get back I may have a bit more time than on this trip to get further on the conversion.

Have gotten parts to start building the mould. BOV run #1 almost done and delivered. I really want to get this project done. From the initial looks of the prototype it should be pretty sexy 8)

Can't wait to see what you have come up with, Marie...

I have had my Elise lights in storage waiting to see if you were going to produce panels since we first talked about it a long time ago. I am sure that it will look spectacular!

If anybody's looking for some of these Elise LED lights, you'll have to act fast.

I hate to put a downer on it but feel obliged to look after my fellow Elan owners.
The lights on my Elan have started to loose LED bulbs! I have lost about 1/3 of the bulbs in one pod only and have been told by the service manager that they have had quite a few returned. This is a replacement from one with exactly the same problem which went back with over 1/2 of the bulbs out after a few months :?

Probably a bad batch.

I'm not saying don't go for LEDs but be ware you may need to take them back to your supplier. The bulb units from my Elise however are good and I haven't heard anything bad about them. Both units are interchangeable in S2 Elise, Exige and My M100 UK panel. By the looks of it Marie's panel takes both types too.

Cheers,

Phil

Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?
