Oh silly oh me.. fibre.... carbon FIBRE. not fruit and fibre or even firbre,600 pound for 2 or was it 300 for 1. Cant remember, and they are made by s j sports cars which take up 2 a month 2 make, or was it 4 weeks.. cant remember.

Last I heard SJs bumpers were a bit on the brittle side and it was best to get/stay with the Lotus items (off a scrapper if need be). I don't remember SJs stuff being CF though so maybe they've improved it.

Yep, agree with Alan IIRC SJ's used to be GRP throughout - without the OEM padding-like material.

Hmmm, I really don't think they'll be carbon fibre - if they are and they're only £600 per pair I'll take a couple of sets.

My suspicion is they are GRP like Sy says; and they are brittle and not a patch on the real thing; but needs must when the devil vomits in your kettle.

They said it is carbon fibre and will come back looking good. i saw some stuff done in carbon by them that looked nice. Dont really want to say to much as not sure if some of you still sale carbon bits. Just trying to be help full,not pass on. cheers.

Don't take it personally John. I think people are just a bit sceptical that the GRP ones were a bit flimsy compared to the originals and that at that price, they look quite cheap for CF. Good luck whatever you get.

GRP = abbreviation for Glass Re-inforced Plastic. As you say, a fancy way of saying fibreglass.
