I've applied for a place again and think the tickets arrived at home today, but I'm not back at home again until tomorrow night so can't check until then.

Please Note SATURDAY

Not that I'm pointing at anyone in particular.

I'll bring the camera, tripod and lenses.

Must see if I can get somewhere else trackside and track height to take some pictures.

Maybe I could get a photo pass from CL...on the phone.

No chance of a pass as the course employs a photographer who has exclusive rights.
However, I've been advised to head for Quarry, apparently the cars go a bit light as the crest the hill there.

As cars go over 'Avon rise' (a slight left-hander on a crest just before quarry) the cars can get airbourne, and that makes Quarry corner interesting!

At that point, the way the spectator area next to the paddock is arranged, you are quite low down in relation to the track, and you can get some good shots!

Also if you have a long lens, it's quite good up on 'Tower' as you can view both chicanes and a good fast right-hander down to the pit lane.

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

As I recall Geoff you actually made it last year. I know of at least one person who made the trip to Castle Combe on the Sunday and enjoyed a pub lunch whilst watching some bikes (pushbikes) :!:

The tickets were for the CL Track day at Castle Combe so I have my place again. I must, must, must get the quaife, clutch and flywheel fitted.

Spent yesterday at Bedford Autodrome on the full Palmer Sport corporate day, drove a 911, Clio Cup Racer, XKR, Landie Defender, Caterham Superlight, Formula Palmer Audi single seater and the Palmer Jaguar Le Mans car look alike. Awesome day :-D .

I did, but as you say, I'd put the shagmobile off by suggesting the weather was going to be good on the Sunday. Oh, and the putrid badger!

Just to let people know (who are not members of Club Lotus)......

You have to be a member of Club Lotus to qualify to take your car on to the track (you must apply).............but anyone is welcome to spectate for free.

Is there anyone from LEC taking their car on the track? Are you still going Nige.

I'll be going along to support anyone who is :-D
