New Elan-owner

Postby Blue Darkness » Sat 17.03.2007, 21:35

Hello

I'm new here.
Have bought an Elan a few weeks ago.
I have driven one for a couple of months a few years ago and felt in love with the Elan.
My absolute dreamcar is still an Esprit, but at this moment I'm having so much fun with the Elan... :P

There 's still a lot of work to do.
The car is build in 1991 and has 180.000kms.
The roof need to be repaired and the suspension isn't that well anymore...

BD

Welcome to the Forum - nice pictures.

Make sure you do the suspension early, before it is too late!

TNX!

How do you mean?
Can I expect a lot of problems if the suspension isn't very good anymore?

The rear wishbones have been known to rust from the inside. Make sure the metal is in good condition and regularly waterproofed.

You don't hang about. Good luck with the Esprit - great-looking cars.
John
PS where's the new owner of your Elan? Why isn't he on LEC yet?
