An explanation, That was Tania's (Mrs Mikeydudes) first post using my profile....I think she felt as though she was unduly criticised about her comment on the assumed poor availability of the LEC goodies at Donington. It is only subsequently that we found out that the reason for the low profile was that the restricted stand type at Donington did not allow the direct selling of items.

She does have a point though, people did come out with some unhelpful comments initially and to her first impressions count - she now said to me that "I can stick LEC and all that go with it if that's there response to a genuine enquiry and her first posting attempt".....Hm, I have some appeasing to do.

errr hold on a minute, how the hell are people to know it was u`r misses. Come on have a think about it, it`s u`r profile and u`r not a newbie and there`s a whole thread to the stickers and for the mugs. So peeps thought it was u, LEC can`t go chasing people if they don`t visit the forum and read the threads.

Everyone else knows about the mugs and stickers thats why there were a name list and most were sold.

Mikey,

Sorry your good lady wife felt that way, but it does come across as a bit over-sensitive. The 3 subsequent posts to hers (here) were made by some of the most considerate and polite posters on here, so I'm sure no offence was meant. OK, that's with the exception of Monty, but he's from Manchester so we make allowances!
And surely he almost speaks the same language as you Rochdale lot, so you don't even need subtitles unlike the rest of us!!!
Admittedly it highlighted the distribution issue, but that provoked another 3 pages of discussion which could prove to be very useful for us all.
Perhaps you could ask her if there are any other issues that she's spotted as a fresh pair of eyes.
We would welcome hearing from her (especially if we know it's her who's writing).
Striking fear into the hearts of duplicate posts everywhere...! :P

BCingU,
Neil ;-)

Hi there - i have my own account now

Postby tazbabes » Sun 25.03.2007, 12:32

After all that happened i took on the fact that i used mikeydudes acount and have set up my own.
Many thanks to those of you who tried to pacify me and  to those of you guys who didn't.

The whole think started because we (as a couple) had not seen the mugs etc - this question took a while to rear it's head and for others to realise we might not have been the only ones with a life too busy to read 24/7 on the forum.

Hope to see you (well some of you ) at the next run - rishworth.

Welcome Tazbabes - hope it's all sorted now :D

As for the rest of you, can we agree a date before Mrs Eds arranges something else (like a family holiday  )

Getting back on topic, how about this:

SBK,
The last weekend (28th) would be best for me.

Other July weekends are involved with family holidays (Scottish school holidays are a fortnight earlier than England and shorter). However I have been given dispensation for the weekend of 28th July.

John

See also interesting comments at the end of the post here by somebody related to somebody very important indeed.

I'm still OK for the last weekend (28th) of July.
