Hi

I've been a member of LEC for a few months now but never got round to posting on the forum and just wanted to say hi. :smt039

I did go to Donington with my Elan and met a few members whilst being there. Gazza and ElanMan were two people that i spoke to, they should remember i work in the Fitting Shop at Red Bull F1 team.

I look forward to learning more about the Elan from the info on here and spending loads more cash on it.

See you around.

Yeah, nice to meet you too.

Thanks for the oil, haven't had time to put it in yet but its the next thing on my list. Can you recommend an oil filter and where to buy??

I did get the wheels, they came with new wheelnuts, valves and centrecaps, i'm really chuffed with them, but the missus doesn't share the same excitement!! Just got to get some rubber for them now, do you know of a good tyre to run??

Thanks again for the oil :D

Welcome Josler - I remember speaking to you too - in fact I think it may have been me that put you in touch with Gazza.

Halfords do our oil filters - the number you want is Champion F110.

And they're no more than five or sick squid! :D

Thanks for the info on the filter, i wasn't too sure whether there was a specific type for the engine that was recommended.

It would be better for me to come at the weekend rather than after work as i have a 70 mile round trip from work to St Neots. I finish at 5.30 and i'll have to go back and collect my car as i don't like to leave it in our car park because too many cars get damaged there.

Thanks anyway.

Thanks for the tyre info, i've priced up some S02 Bridgestones through work but the Yokos seem a cheaper option. I'll probably give them a try. :D

I've used S02's for at least 6 years on the Elan and I'm very impressed with them, they seem to last for ages.
