i'm not bothered if they are original lotus hoods and seals or not... as long as they're good quality, look ok and keep me dry :)

did we establish whether the hoods/seals are trim-tech's own or Lotus?

i'd be up for a group buy, but time is of the essence with mine as it's in bad shape :(

sorry mate i will find out on monday and see what price we can get sorted, the problem with trim-tec is they will only supply and after speaking to GTS performance yesterday he said it would costg alot more than £150 to fit so i think what ever the roof and seals are for £650 all in thats very cheap :D :D :D

hood

Postby nickb » Mon 12.02.2007, 12:00

Morning chaps

Don't need really need a new hood at the mo,but if there is a group buy going on then I could be on, what i really need is the seal that runs along the front edge of the hood but as these cost half the price of a complete set of seals from trim tech I was going to buy the set for £250 and keep the spares until the others fall apart, but then for an extra £250 I could get a spare hood as and when I need it.

It's only money at ther end of the day.

hood

Postby nickb » Tue 13.02.2007, 11:54

thanks SBK, that's an option but there again if we can get some sort of deal that included fitting I may swap the hood over any way.

Am I correct in think your project has now bitten the dust so your no longer looking for a roof anyway???

Cheers

Don`t know if this any help to anybody else but Clemo was asking me about the roof so thought i`d post the details here too. you never know it may help someone else out.

The previous owner had the hood replaced on Pinky II, just pulled out the invoice:-

Hood was bought from AutoHoods he paid £385 (was 20% discount on that) in 2003.

Then he had the hood fitted at a cost of £230 in 2003 by:

Esher sunroof & autohoods
34 wellington crescent
New Malden,
Surrey.
KT3 3NE

contact number 02082881134.

But u still need to get the Header seal.

OK - i've booked in with Trim-Tech (the one in Brum) for fitting of a new hood and seals. Earliest they could fit me in was 23/4/07 - i'll let you know what kind of job they make of it.
