Bob,

All the camping tickets I've booked are allocated but should I have a drop out I will offer it to you. You are of course welcome to join us but if I don't have any drop outs you will need to sort your own camping ticket out. We are all in the Bleu Nord campsite so this is the camping ticket you will need. You need a camping ticket per car, so cadging a lift with someone who alreadyhas a camping ticket may also be an option although I don't think there are many (any) spare seats at present. You could try the ACO (www.ACO.org) for tickets although I doubt you will get Bleu Nord tickets at this stage, also check the forums at www.clubarnage.com as there is a sle or swap section, however there are more people wanting Bleu Nord tickets than offering them. I booked my tickets last year and will be doing the same again for 2008 as I get back from the race this year. Other campsites, such as Beausejour are more easily available as they are larger and a long way from the track.

Not booked Grandstand tickets as the size of the circuit means that we tend to move around to different vantage points throughout the race. The General Admission ticket you can get on arrival at the circuit will give you access to any of the spectator enclosures.

Finally booked a ferry after a lot of to and froing.

Rosyth way too expensive so Hull next best option.

Hull- Zeebrugge Sun 10th, will be in Paris Mon-Wed nights then eta Blue Nord Thurs asap!

Zeebrugge-Hull 1900 on Sun. Race is 1 hr earlier this year i.e. 1500hrs to 1500 hrs, hopefully catch the ferry, may need to depart early.

Thanks for the cheque. I didn't know about the start and finish being at 1500 rather than the traditional 1600, where did you get that from?

Good spot Scott, I'd not noticed that before, certainly makes a difference for the run back to the ports on the Sunday although I would have thought that being at Zeebrugge by 1900 is something of a challenge (even in an Elan) particularly given the number of Gendarmes that line the routes out of Le Mans after the race to stop those in a hurry.

Hi Nige, Ferry is 9.25 on Monday so I will probably arrive some time late Monday or Tuesday AM if I stay over somewhere. No set plan, just take my time.

I'm on the Dover Calais crossing at 1215 on Mon 11 June. Planning on night stopping south of Rouen on the Monday night and arriving on the campsite mid to late morning on the Tuesday. There will be a surcharge for arriving on the campsite before Wednesday but it's only a few euros a night and worth it to get a decent pitch. I may well have ChrisT in tow for the run down to Le Mans on the Tuesday, a convoy of 3 would be better than a convoy of 2 if you want to join in.

bob, looks like you're on the same ferry as us, perhaps we could meet up on route. We are not getting down to LM until tuesday, staying overnight just north of Rouen and hopefully meeting up with nige on tuesday morning for the trip down to LM

Chris, I've emailed you details of where I'm staying. I'm just south of Rouen on the Monday night so I suggest you head down to me on the Tuesday morning and we can convoy to Le Mans from there. I'm going to check out how close we are to the old Rouen Les Essarts Grand Prix circuit as much of it is still driveable and might be worth a blast en route.

Nige, there is supposed to be a small surcharge for early arrivals, we got there on Monday last yr and from memory they didn't charge, think we were there before most of the security.

I will be in paris wed night so arrival Thursday lunch. Planning on buying a "2 second" tent from decathlon, so keep me some space.

Realised that these 2 sec tents are discs with a 88cm diametre so won't fit in boot or behind seats but I have a cunning plan to strap it too the spoiler.

Im happy to meet on the way down, Monday or Tuesday. As I said before, I have no firm plans, just going with the flow to enjoy the week.

I do want to be at the campsite on Tuesday, just to make sure I get a decent pitch etc. and get further tickets if I need them.

Looks as though I have a spare campsite ticket after all as one of the regulars has just told me he is now car sharing with someone who already has a ticket, thanks a bunch

Must say when I saw the original bookings the moonbase alpha brigade seemed to have a lot of tickets.

I presume Marks boys are coming in the RST.
