Idler/tensioner bearing part numbers?

Postby Dico » Wed 04.01.2006, 22:01

Does anyone have the above part numbers for just the bearings i.e. not the 'complete' item as supplied by lotus.
I imagine it will be a lot cheaper to have the bearing pressed in and out rather than spend £100 +.

Cheers :)

Hi Dico,
i'm looking at going this route myself.
Spoke with Sj's recently and they quoted me £187 inc vat for cambelt, idler pulley and tentioners. Then there is the question of whether to change the waterpump while its stripped down.
Sorry don't now part no.

Doc has kindly taken the following numbers for me/us.

Tensioner: 6006DWAX

idler: 60STD61DWAX

Anybody know who is likely to stock these parts?

If you get the bearing pressed out, there will be numbers on it, & any bearing supplier should be able to get you one.
JPS M100 was built from bare chassis up to create one off M100 in the mould of JPS Team Lotus

Postby kmckmc » Wed 26.07.2006, 12:07

Hi,

I just bought a DAYCO

I am about to replace my Elan's timing belt and related parts.
I came across this DAYCO item:

I bought from www.rockauto.com
look in Isuzu/1991 Impulse RS/Engine/Timing Belt Component kit

DAYCO part# 84103 Timing Component Kit
This kit consists of 2 items.

1 unit of 85184 , which is the belt idler
1 unit of 85276, which is the belt tensioner

ALL for US$ 40.79 HOW ABOUT THAT.

Dayco timing kit

Postby stevieg8571 » Mon 23.04.2007, 18:18

Hi,
I tried buying one of the Dayco timing kits last week at both Autozone and Kragen but both couldn't find those part no's but said that it's been changed to TTIK103 and was a Goodyear item.
It only cost $55.76 so have purchased myself one for my forthcoming belt change day, (If I ever manage to escape the U S and A that is!)

HI,

I just checked the rockauto.com website. It still is offering this DAYCO package for $40.79.

I know rockauto.com ships internationally and takes PAYPAL payment.

Cheers,

Sadly, you'll need to budget for the VAT (+ a collection fee) on top; the bill from FedEx arrives about a week after the parts. Still cheaper than SJs, though. :D

Nor me

It all seems to be a bit of a lottery on which carrier is used for the trans-atlantic leg of the shipping.

Hopefully, at this time of year they'll have more to worry about helping Santa get stuff round the world!

I've got two shipments coming in...

First one only took 4 hours to clear Stanatead...

I've waited weeks to get stuff through customs and then had to bribe the official to release it...

Gotta love corrupt countries... infact most of the countries customs are bent

I can recall a certain sales pitch for the Kestral US101...

Long story short... US customs impounded our Aircraft.. but only after Hilary Clinton had her go.. .

Anyway what will happen.. I'll let you know...
