I presume Marks boys are coming in the RST.

Only booked what they asked for Scott, and I suppose I have known them long enough to know they're not that organised :D . Looking at e bay a Bleu Nord ticket was at £85 last night with 4 days still to run.

I also assume Marks boys are in the RST but I haven't heard from him for a while.

£85, good going, that you recoup some pennies for a few crates of 1664.

Whats this about pit passes ? if Paul has any spare ......

I wouldn't hold out too much hope for pit pases as it appears the ACO are tightning up on access and you will need proper overalls and the appropriate coloured bib to get in according to the ACO website. Last year we were ok with sparkly wrist bracelets and the necessary pass but our campsite grime was still a little out of place, good though!

bob have you got any ideas of where to stay on monday night? the wife and i are staying here if that is of any interest.

Chris, That looks well posh!! Do you know how far it is from Calais?

Looks as though I have a spare campsite ticket after all as one of the regulars has just told me he is now car sharing with someone who already has a ticket, thanks a bunch . If their are any takers then let me know otherwise I will e bay it.

Nige, I just paid £112 for my ticket on Ebay, wish I had waited now!

Nige, I am having trouble contacting my ebay seller (for the ticket), even though I have paid. If you hold on to yours for a few days I might purchase it?

Cheers, Bob

yep it does look a bit post but reasonably priced at €72 for a double (exc petit dejeuner). The mileage is about 150 miles taking the motorway but we'll be taking the scenic route, there's some great Elanning roads in that area of france.

Bob,

I won't be e baying the spare ticket just yet as I don't have any of the tickets yet (and I doubt anyone selling on e bay has either). I expect the tickets to arive sometime towards the middle of next month. Hope your seller hasn't done the dirty on you.

The bill for the tickets was on the credit card statement that arrived at home yesterday so now I know the money has been taken my confidence that the tickets will arrive in the next few weeks is even higher. Once they do arrive I'll post that info here and contact each of you to work out how best to get the tickets to you, default option is recorded delivery post if I am unable to hand deliver.

Other events which are happening during the Le Mans week are now beginning to appear. The regulars over at the Club Arnage Forum are organising a meet and drive around the French country side on Fri 15 Jun, ending up at a bar owned by a French petrol head named Herard known to one of the Club Arnage people.

Plan is to meet up at the Classic British Welcome at St Saturnin (those who went to Le Mans 2 years ago will remember this) which is North of Le Mans, there will be reserved parking, have lunch there (should make a pit lane walkabout at the circuit on Friday morning possible for those that wish) and then have a drive out around the Sarthe region stopping at the above mentioned bar enroute. I would then expect to migrate towards Arnage for the usual Friday night frolics. I will certainly be doing this as will Mark in the MGA, all other Elaners at Le Mans are welcome.

Further details are in this thread over at Club Arnage www.clubarnage.com/forum/index.php?topic=6852.0

Le Mans Tickets arrived in the post today :D . Got what I asked for so you all have the tickets you think your getting and have paid me for. Looks as though I have been sent more full price camping tickets and less discounted camping tickets but I do not appear to have been charged anymore for this so no big issue. Also, it looks as if Bleu Nord is one of the sites to be 'Zoned' this year and whilst 3 of the tickets are in Zone G, 8 of them are in Zone F. I'm not sure what this will mean as the sites have never been zoned before, my inclination is to give it a stiff ignoring and pretend not to speak the language (not too difficult) and ensure all camp in the same area.

Now, just the question of how to get them to you :?:

For those who go to the Southern area meet (Muley, Chris T) I will bring them to the H&C next month. Scott I would imagine you would like yours posted? PM or email me your postal address and I'll send it recorded delivery.

BobC you have first refusal on the one spare camping ticket I have, I have PM'd you to this effect. If you don't need it now then let me know soonest please as I intend to put it on e bay in the next 48 hours or so.

If anyone wants to dress there car up for the weekend sir,

http://www.hollographics.com/lemans.html

I think black beastie may just be adorned with large gold 2 4 BLING

Chris, bin liners, yes another reason why I CANNOT change my Elan for Elise, do too much camping. The Cat 7 crowd get round this by buying cheap tents etc upon arrival at LM and donating to the pikeys upon departure.

Dan at Hollographics, special order in Gold being made at no extra cost.

Should we get a batch of transfers made up, i.e. gulf orange logo with black cat in the middle.

Your cars would look good with yellow 24 on Nige, green 24 on Chris, and what colour is yours Jim?
