I do have enough black Alcantara fabric left for those 2 door cards. And the retrim cost for that is not expensive.

Do I need to remove the door panel to take the door card out?

Don't you think that leaving the door cards there like that is fine? I have not made up my mind.

The white has to go, looks odd. The door card just pulls off.

As you've asked......... IMHO they must go :wink:

Match them with the seats, as there can be too many contrasts - and that detracts from the seats, which are superb

I agree. The seats look fantastic, but they don't go with the door cards.

I will want to replace my interior at some time in the future, but am not ready to do it now.
If you manage to persuade your uncle to make you a good prototype, then I will probably be interested.

I am sure that there are others out there in a similar position to me.

The Elan will not disappear overnight, so demand will be there from time to time.

Thinking about it at the moment, i like alcanta so that would suit me. Door cards are leather with the red stripe so might keep them as they are in leather and go for red piping.

Not sure how it would look though

What sort of money would we be looking at to retrim the interior of a '79 Elite?

I am talking about front seats (red leather) and roof retrim as it has sagged.

i could do the seats,carpets etc just recently made new hood all would be bespoke to your choice i used to make all morgan seats etc but now have my own work shop .

Sorry, just to clarify the Elite doesn't have a hood (it's a hardtop) but the lining, which was foam backed with a thin beige cloth finish, has been removed (along with most of the foam).

I was after a refurb of that, the front 2 seats and the carpets (both red).

my seats are also cracked and the yellow stripes are faiding away. If i clean my seats with a leather cleaner, the yellow comes off.
I whant new seats from lotus but i'm from belgium and my car is for daily use. Will they make some and send them, or have i to come to hethel?

you can buy them send them to lotus and then fit them and sell yours...
(well if all went smoothly and the £££ was right)
IIRC it was about £350 per seat to get them retrimmed
just a thought
