For any others in the UK who are interested, please let me know your location so that we might group ship a few bars and save a little $ for you.

Dear Dave:

Would you please add me to the list as well? I'm still interested in a strut bar.

Dear Dave

If I'm not too late can I go on the list for the next batch?

Rod (dodders) / Calne, N. Wilts, UK

(Info on how to pay would also be handy)

Not NW for me

Postby carryondentist » Fri 08.06.2007, 16:52

I am afraid I am not based in NW any more (probably old address Dave had).

Possible group with dodders though as I still go to my home town, Devizes from time to time (v. close to Calne).

Dave,

Are there any left? I'll have one for sure. I'm stuck in the middle east at the mo' but I'm happy to have one group shipped somewhere and I'll just grab it at some convenience when I come home 8)

Group buy with Carryondentist is ok with me. I'm sure we could work that out.

I'll be in France from Wednesday 13th to Tuesday 19th . So apologies for delays in communication.

OK folks - thanks for all your patience! Geez...the powder coater took quite a while to get these back to me, but they look very nice. At least by taking their sweet time, the shop did a great job. I'll be boxing them up and shipping them asap. The following folks have requested a bar, and other than carryondentist & dodders, I don't have any others from the UK grouped. 51mon and paza, are you close together or to the two above?

If I don't have your address, I'll contact you shortly.

Thanks again! For anyone else, I have 2 bars in this group left. I will not be making another batch for a little while as I'm hoping to fabricate some intake piping. I should have a prototype for an upper and lower intercooler pipe (the upper with a BOV) and an open filter intake to the turbo done in the next few weeks. I hope to make them with the option of plumbing the BOV back into the intake if you'd like. More on that in another thread shortly...

Just a reminder to everyone who has a bar coming: inside the box will be an envelope containing some extra length bolts in case your stock mounting bolts are too short. In most cases the envelope will be apparent, but in others (I pack them different ways, depending on the supplies I have from my local packaging shop) it could get lost in the packing peanuts when you open the box.

I'd like to add another glowing review for Dave's strut bar. :-D

Looks terrific, easy install, adds stiffness and rigidity to the body.

Dave, your check is in the mail, thanks again!

Thanks Don! Glad you like it...

While the current run of bars is now sold, I have another batch already made and going to the powder coaters again this week. I will request a much quicker turnaround this time! If anyone in the UK is interested, we can maybe group a few bars for shipment. Just post your location with your reply and I'll brush up on my UK geography. :-D FWIW, when two bars are shipped together, you save ~$12 over a bar shipped by itself.

Update

Postby carryondentist » Sat 18.08.2007, 09:20

Finally strut bar is fitted after some issues freeing the old bolts!

Initial feedback is good, it has certainly supressed some squeaks from the back end and psychologically at least seems to tighten things up. With carpets back in it provides a nice little parcel shelf in the boot as well. Added bonus. Thanks again to Dave for all his efforts in the manufacture and distribution, good affordable mod I think.
