This is a major grovel and appology to those affected (ie the ex-colonials in the US of A).

I've just found a package in my conservatory containing 7 rubber grommits. :oops:

I have a (very) feeble excuse in that i did have them on the dining room table where i had to do something about them, unfortunately, Angie had a bit of a tidy up a while ago and they ended up in a box with other elan bits in the conservatory. I don't know what was so unreasonable about having lots of car parts on the dining table, but for some reason known only to herself, SWMBO thought it was out of order (has anyone else got such an unreasonable other half, or is it just me? :lol:

)

Anyhow, i have got 7 grommits to go to the following people (who probably thought i'd absconded with them):-

Algirdas x 2
Donsladek (paid)
Techlectic
Dave M
Dunnlor (paid)
Mailman 221

What makes it worse is that 2 are already paid for and I've even sat down for a meal with Algirdas since I've had them!

Originally, Andrew (techlectic) offered to host the USA distribution, and i need to ensure this is still okay before i stick them in the post. If not, then I'm sure that a certain lawyer in Colorado may receive a parcel in the post :wink:

As for payment, due to the delay by myself, i would be embarrased to ask you to pay for the international leg of the shipping and will fund that bit myself. I would suggest that the easiest way for you each to get your rubber ring, is to then send whoever gets the parcel a self-addressed envelope. It fits nicely inside a normal C6 envelope (162 x 114mm).

As for payment, well, paypal is easiest for me, and you should have my account details from ages ago :roll:

Algirdas - please do not send me any monies at this stage - due to currency exchange and Paypal fees, it may be better to do a bit of a PX deal on the rear calliper handbrake levers!!!!

Dave, from what you've said, it all sounds Angie's fault :evil:

, although you officers of the law do have a tendancy to put words in others mouths

, so perhaps she should pay the postage costs, or perhaps she can compensate you in other ways :wink:

Why don't you get them to me, I get them to Dan, Dan gets them in the coffin with Fubar's mugs, coffin leaves next week, Algirdas gets the coffin and plays postman? :-D

I'll PM you later about payment - there are some dollar debts to settle so don't go getting people exchanging dollars for sterling!

I did consider that option, but as there has already been one heck of a delay on these (all caused by Angie, so it seems :twisted:

), and the coffin is going on a leisurely sea cruise, then i thought for £3.35 they could go for a flight instead!!!!!

If i posted them to you it would be a quid anyway, so i can't see much point (unless Al wants his 2 to go that way).

I agree on the cash flow though, .SO DONT ANYONE SEND ME ANYTHING(apparently i don't need the cash stirling :roll:

)

As I'm going to Bath to drop the women off shopping while I go to Stonehenge for Algirdas' seats, I was going to offer to pick them up on the way back. For that price though, I'll let Angie do her penance and wrap them up fo you! :wink:

Dave, if anyone decides they don't want their grommet or doesn't cough up the cash I'd be only too happy to take on off your hands.

Geoff (and only because you mentioned it) I LOVE Bath! Visited some relatives of the missus in the West Midlands last year then drove to Wales, Bath and Stonehenge on the way to London. I'd have to say that my favourite places were Tenby and Bath.

There are no actual 'spare' ones in the order, but if anyone doesn't want theirs, then they are over there anyway, and yours for the price of a stamp.

I'm leaving all the US distribution to Don (Thanks for the offer - keeps it simple for me) and he will be sorting it out as and when he can. If there's any problem with that, blame me, not him :-D

Our air intake grommet is also same/similar to Esprit fuel tank fillier neck. From his Ebay name I guess he's an Esprit owner or former owner,

Hmm....this looks exactly like the intake "replacement" grommet that SJ sold to us. :smt017
