Mine has just arrived today. :-D

Can't be a better time for you for an UPGRADE

You will need the one for T25 config with adapter plate (contact "Crambury RS"), stainless steel hoses, and etc.

I have heard that Turbo Technics are useful. Never dealt with them myself though.

I've been cooking up this evil plan for some time now.

This Garrett GT2560R will spool much faster than what we have, full boost at ~ 1,500 rpm faster, 1,000 rpm quicker than the T-25, or so, and it's a bolt-on item, easy to convert back to the original setup, good for up to 320 HP, will make T25 kinda obsolete in comparison :-D

Figure Stevo might be benefited for switching to one of this instead :P

Define bolt on. Straight swap or change injectors, and ECU type bolt on?

If it's a straight swap... sign me up :-D however somehow I doubt it will be that easy

Let me find out and will keep you posted. Don't think you need to change all those unless you want to increase boost, etc. :)

I don't think so...
Check Houdinis' thread.
I believe you'll need custom hoses in and out of the compressor, and an adaptor plate for the exhaust manifold, custom 'stiffy' and, custom oil and water feed / return pipes. Also, I 'think' the integral wastegate actuator will need a custom bracket for the orientation? I don't know if ESM's chip would be the only 'boost control' device we'd need; I guess it depends upon how well the wastegate flows???
I too must confess to looking into this [Garrett ball-bearing] route, using a custom designed cast exhaust manifold that would eliminate the pre-cat and a simple elbow to align to the downpipe. Motivation - I don't fancy refitting the original turbo with +130k miles and a cracked / welded manifold. I've done some preliminary work, and Houdini was offering a huge amount of help further down the line, but lately I've not had much time to progress with this project...
Taking a real WAG at the cost for a bolt-on conversion...I think we'd have to be talking $1200-$1500? (This assumes a good group-buy deal on the turbos).
Who would be interested at this level?
