We'll be there. Don't suppose anyone has a spare door scrivet they could bring to show me? Taking off my door card soon but don't really want to pay the £0.72 + vat each that SJ charge. May be able to find something at work thats similar.

Hoping to be there :D . The car has now passed its MOT :D , BUT I've just had the most horrendous journey in the rain back from the garage :( . Couldn't use the wipers and dipped lights together, as the voltage went down to 4V and the car almost stalled :( . Just made it home, had to push the car into the garage as it wouldn't turn over. Battery now charging, but if there's any water around I'm not sure I'll come in the Lotus :(
Regards

Mark/.

The alternator should be able to drive lights and wipers.

I don't think it's the battery - Nick got me a new one just before Donington, unless going flat when I couldn't drive for a couple of months due to broken wrist has affected it.

I've never seen the Voltmeter go higher than a touch over 12V, and it's always the wrong side of 12V when the lights are on, so I do suspect the alternator.

Mark,

Hope to see you this evening.

Have you considered getting an alternator off e-bay? These are recommended and won't break the bank
