Stevo,

If changing colour are u going to remove the Tub

suppose u could leave the bulk head and just remove the clam for the full respray. But will also need to remove doors, bonnet, boot, hood storage lid, lights, petrol flap all rubber trim and the plastic sills etc. A lot of work.

I`ve always like the Midnight blue, but i`m sure your going for the shock value lol

If u`r doing the full respray go for the Orange, then we can call her Peely instead of Missy :-D

ORANGE ORANGE ORANGE

Postby carryondentist » Thu 19.07.2007, 19:22

Would love to see an orange elan.

Have been toying with a krypton green re-spray myself - but orange is definitely high up the list.

Undecided to be honest.

Orange would look good, but I never really liked Pacific Blue until I saw one...now I own it!

My fave is custard, but the Elan is soooooo pretty that it would probably look good in any colour.

Brian, where did you find that pic? Is it a jap registration?
Absolutely stunning, beats the Ford colour hands down. Looks good with the black wheels.
Stevo, go do it!

Even the wife loves it!

sorry to disapoint you'se good people but the orange is oot the window. ford electric orange is a pearlesant 3 part paint process that is very difficult to get right even if i was a pro with an oven. so thats put the brakes on that idea. i was swaying towards it too.

anyhoo du-pont pacific blue b08 1anb it is then. as im working in my dads double garage lined with polythene and a freshly painted floor a basic metalic sounds like the way forward and within my humble abillitys and give what i have at hand.

i've also got a refurb turbo coming from turboactive on tuesday and the bonnet vents and wheel rims have arrived. im one bathroom job away from my 2week spraying holiday WOO HOO!
arancio baby! thats italian for orange! i think?
