Go for the orange Stevo - what about that orange Lotus Exige colour ?

If not, go for blue with metallic orange flakes! Saw a VW buggy in fibreglass at Callander Classix a couple of years ago like this and it looked fantastic - particularly when the sun shone - which wasn't that often!

Stevo,

had my eyes open this weekend, and I saw orange in all major manufacturers worth considering: dodge, mitsubishi, lotus chrome orange (saw in my dreams), mazda, GM, etc.

certainly there's a colour to find if you want in a single-stage paint.

to late. maybe next time.

the paint is bought and it is BLUE(is best), now the hour is at hand.

all going well i'll start on saturday,i've got all the paint, primer, laquer(lager), hardener, filler, abraisives, glass mat, resin, tack cloth and sunderies in the boot. also my weather strips and wheel rims arrived today and the turbo is due tomorrow. all im waiting on now is the bumper and skirts to arrive from sj and im good to go!

the plan is to empty my dads double garage, line the walls and ceiling with polythene and paint the floor to keep the dust down. then its panels off and game on!

Yea, EASY !, if you had tried the orange, that would of been a real challenge, painting over the same colour is by far easier than trying to change colour , but hey, don't get upset man, your not the 1st to take the easy route

I reckon it was the scottish tight fisted bit coming out of him, & wouldn't spend more than a fiver on the paint, or he got job lot off Dico's Elan Spares cheap ?
