Stevo, not trying to piss on your party, just passing on other experiences as they might be worth thinking about ?. I spoke to my nephew last night, it was a Honda CRX he fitted a body kit to ( with vents ), & in the end he had to glue clear perspex under the vents to stop the ingress of water. Now his vents were only for looks, so it didn't make any difference, & also his car was a show car, so he didn't want the mucky water stains all over his nice shiney engine, like i said, just passing on the experience

well if they're from a scooby i guess they have solved it so should be ok, if it all fits into the spaceless engine compartment.

oh ye of little faith.
the right hand one is sighted over my custom air box and stainless steel mesh cone filter and the left hand one is over the engine mount and pod motor. as all the conectors are sealed waterproof jobbys and the engine bay is open to the elements everytime you drive in the rain anyway i don't see water ingress being an issue. scoodys and evos are open and they have way more electronics to go wrong. that and some tvrs have vents so big you could almost change the plugs with the bonnet closed!

as for the colour.....................................................watch this space

2007 350z Solar Orange Color Code
A53 - Solar Orange

a good paint place should be able to look up the code from that I'd think

or you could order up some touch-up here and match it from that

slow progress over the last week coz i've had some extra work on and guests down for the week but i have the panels i there first coat of primer and should get it fully primed tomorrow. this damp misrable weather is not great for paint drying :( .

the bumper and sills arrived from sj and after 30mins of measureing, plotting and planning i desided it was going to be far to much trouble to fit. the front spoiler was a good fit size wise in most aspects but the esprit has much longer over hangs(7 inches) and to cut this out would ruin the look of the bulges and scoops on the side. with a day or two of cutting filling and sanding it would go and look good but im on the clock so its a no go. as for the sills they are miles out. so the whole lots going on ebay or the espritworld forum.

Stevo,
Gaun yersel. You'll get it done. Especially with the wee helper - it's amazing how they grow.

I'm trying to do some work in the garden and, although the last couple of days were great, today was seriously damp. I didn't get much done - repaired the lawnmower and went to buy more stuff.

Awrabest,
John

Stevo,

Not over keen on those mesh bits in the bonnet :? how come u never went for scoops or the slatted type vents?

Are u not going to make any mods to the bumper, ie air ducts for brakes and maybe a a vent to feed the air filter :?
