Here's another stupid noob question. Whenever it rains my elan steams up in less than 2 seconds, i put the blowers on the window and the dial to left (all air to front windscreen blowers) and it does sort of clear the screen apart from one triangle shaped section slightly towards the passenger side of the centre, so i basically have this big steam triangle in teh middle which makes it really quite hard to see whats going on.

Does anybody else's do this? could i have a air flow problem? I have the non aircon S2.

Tough question.
I use the other car when it rains. That has a good blower & air con.

I guess a lot of Elaners may do the same

Bobface,

The Elan has good ventilation and I've never had any problems with windows misting up. I drive it in all weathers (not intentionally, it just happens that way).

Are your carpets damp? Thermostat OK?

I use mine regulary in the rain and the only window I have problem clearing is the plastic rear screen.

Could this be the problem with the foam connector that connects the duct in the clamshell to blower?

From memory mine failed and as its located below the one of the drain holes of the windscreen water started to come out of the blower assembly, but also I kept getting misting up of the windscreen.

Especially if you have no fender liner like my car! It was like pea soup inside until I replaced the foam remnants with some rubber sheet.
