All it means Neil, is that we are (by far) the most sociable group on the forum  , you could become part of it, come to next meet, & we'll show you how

Ah yes, I read how "sociable" you were previously!

Could be an interesting meet.

Quite simply because when I use LEC I use the "View unread posts" button.
This returns ALL results, so I have to either "Mark all forums read", and so miss potentially useful information, or wade through everything (cr@p included) to make sure I don't.

As I said when I quantified my comment here, "this topic was getting on for 500 posts...so it makes it difficult to find useful information amongst all the throwaway comments".

It's now shot up to (and past) that mark in less than 10 days, which even I am suprised at.
But it certainly vindicates what I previously said, which is why I jokingly posted the "happy 25th".
Actually I was hoping to get the 500th and put something totally off topic just for the hell of it, but I was "pipped to the post".

You can take umbrage at that if you want, but I certainly wasn't the one who started seriously launching personal comments at people here, and I don't recall doing since then either.

I laugh, joke and chat with people online in the same way that I would talk to them face to face. And can't ever remember telling anyone who had offered to help me to "piss off elswhere". I don't think that's acceptable behaviour at all.

25 pages - >50% of which is carp/banter.
Would you like me to lock this thread and let you start a new one about East Mids meetings?

Speaking for myself - I quite like the banter and cr@p as it reflects the current nature of the East Mids group. My vote is- it stays!

I agree with DaveT. If you lock this thread and start a new one, we will fill it with banter :-D

No point really.

After the optimistic weather reports I was hearing from friends last week, I thought we may be in with a chance of a nice evening.
Some chance, looks it will be a roof-up meet tomorrow. :smt022

Sy

You could start a new one for Neil and Paul and make it read only for the rest of us

The forecast looks ok to me. Might be bringing both cars and a passenger!!

Sy - I'd suggest you leave this thread and after this meet we will start a new one which will just list confirmed meet details, and we can still use this one for all the friendly banter. The cra@p can stay on the wm thread

So why read the East Mids thread at all then, cos there is no useful (or potentially useful) information on it anyway.
