Callander Classics - Friday 24th - Sunday 26th August

Postby Rambo » Tue 14.08.2007, 17:39

Better late than never but a reminder of the forthcoming Callander event for this year. Those that want to go officially and get a placard can download an entry form via the website

http://www.callanderclassic.com/body_CCW.htm

Or you can go as a member of the public and pay on the door.

This year promises to be warm and dry - a perfect end to the summer of cold, grey skies and rain

I'll be there Sat and Sun - possibly even camping on the Fri if there's enough interest ? Anyone else up for it ?

Mark,
Currently looks like I'll be away on business. Might be cancelled at the last minute, so I'm a "maybe".

I've started ripping off all my old water hoses to try and fit my Samcos in time for the Sunday. Fingers crossed. We'll need at least 3 Elans there if we want to enter the driving challenge again

Edinburgh festival show on Saturday night means no camping for me this year.

I will be going up early on Sat. morning. If anyone fancies breakfast there's a good greasy spoon in Callander High street just near the lights. Intending to do the thrash round the single track roads in the morning.

Camping Sat. night so cuzzas and beer as a matter of course.

Alan - maybe see you and your mates in the greasy spoon on Sun morning ???

John - all work and no play ????? Come on - you'll be able to get your blue nitrile gloves this year I promise !!

Stevo - hope your pearlescent respray makes a guest appearance some time over the w/e

PS Guest whiskies will be Caol Ila '90 and Edradour '96 for anyone remotely interested

Rambo,

I'm not going this year, I'm afraid. Even if I am down to my last few blue gloves (it's the decorating that uses them up), and even if you have chosen two excellent guest whiskies (I've nearly finished the Signature Edradour I bought when we visited Archie's).

The weather looks to be reasonable, so have fun lads.
