I fired up Ribena last night for the first time in over a week and there were no apparent leaks from my Samco hose fitting experience, so all's looking well for Sunday (including the weather)

i'll be nailing missy back together and fitting the new turbo tomorrow although colour sanding will take hours so i'll be pushed to make it in time.

You Scots are mad! I was at a truckstop up 'there' on thursday night. There was some old guy there parked up in a ford escort, which itself was dressed up as an Eddie Stobbart truck! He had a father christmas beard, a kilt and white boots!!

The sun shines on the righteous.

Aberdeen today was warm & sunny in the morning. If it was the same a bit further south, it would have been great weather for the scenic drives and distillery visits. Then it threw it down with rain for a couple of hours this afternoon, then cleared up about 5 so that we could have a barbie at our house - lovely sunny evening.

Lets hope it's good for the main events tomorrow for all you lucky people at Callander.

No staying up too late, now. And no .

Do let us know what colour Missy is.

Report from today.

Lots of M100's on display, sun shining and very warm, free booze as it was the 25th anniversary, lap dancing in the main tent etc................

















Only joking !!!!



Mine was the only M100 there, Scotch mist and hardly any sign of the sun with a stiffening breeze. That was the only thing that was stiff as the lap dancers were non existent and to top it all you had to buy yer' ain bevvy. The highlight of the day was putting up the Club Lotus marquee - about 28 poles, several bits of canvas and no instructions !! A bit like one of those management training exercises where everyone has an opinion, there's no firm leadership but somehow you get there in the end.

So depressing I drove the 83 miles home but will return tomorrow as the weather looks good and besides that, Father Christmas will be there in his Eddie Stobbart Escort..................

We made it to about 20 miles from the site, but fell foul of the dreaded HGF. Spent the rest of the day in a variety of transport as the 340R was trailored to Murray Motor Co, and we made our own way home.

Yesterday was much better weather than Sat. About 22 various Lotus models on display on the CL stand, including 3 M100's - mine, AB2CV's resplendent in its new Samco blue hoses and shiny Maguire's topcoat and Barry's unblemished Calypso red SE with 32k miles which got a worthy 2nd prize

Nae sign of the Stevo - maybe the pearlescent pink hadn't quite dried

I'm sure that Jazz Blue TVR Griffith is the one that nearly tempted me away from Elans a few years ago, when it was for sale on Pistonheads.

I've always been attracted by TVR's myself - something nice about the shape and a great sound. The Jazz blue Griff. looked in excellent nick and suited the Anthracite wheels
