Blue Elan Heading South on the M1...

that would have been me.....

I bought the car on Tuesday and the previous owner (Thanks Mr. R.) alerted me to this forum....

So I shall use this opportunity to introduce myself...

"Hello"

I live in Gloucestershire, I have a 1992 Bule Elan SE...I have a ton of questions and am looking forwards to joining what looks like a thriving and active community. I bought this car to replace a flood damaged Maserati (retail therapy) that was recently written off.

Cheers.

Hi Tim :smt006

Just thought i'd get in before the old git (Happy birthday for yesterday, Geoff  ) and direct you towards this thread.
Depending on wherabouts in Gloucestershire you are, then you may be closer to the West Mids bunch - either way you'd be welcome at any of the (not necesarily) regular meetings.
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

I may have been waving a little enthusiastically, as I don't usually see Elans within a mile of my home!!

Well shiver my timbers! My phone was ringing 'cause I was late picking my daughter up - I zoomed up to WHS, got her to jump in and zoomed back out again, but you were gone!

So what were you doing so far North? You should have rung.

Geoff

PS You were rather quick on the old headlights - you beat me to it by a mile!

That greeny bluey colour - s2 I think, yesterday 8-45am A23 heading from Gatwick to Horley.

Both vehicles were reported waving and I was particularly excited as it was my first spot on fellow Elan. More of a joyous experience than with most Elise drivers who appear to have no Lotus etiquate at all......
