Centre ones are Ford not GM and were on the Lotus parts sale list last year. Can't check if they are still on until I get home. Not sure about the outer ones as I haven't needed to repalce any of these.

Thanks Nige,
I dont need to replace them, looking whether upgraded GM parts would fit thats all.
Cheers

All of mine were bad (broken and sagging in the middle). I took them out and all had a Ford part number which I tried to cross reference with Ford in the USA, but they had no record of them. I can get the number off them and maybe someone on your side could try and cross reference to a European Ford number. I would very much like to replace mine with new ones, or find a substitute that didn't require dash modifications.

The Ford part number for the "LOUVRE ASSY. (VENT AIR/CENTRE)" (Ford description) used in the center of all Elans and the outside positions of Federal Elans is 81DB18C400AA. These are apparently used on Ford trucks in Turkey, and are available through:
http://www.onerotomotiv.com/cat/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=81DB18C400AA&OnrsSid=967f21587b0316d421210e76801f3935&x=7&y=6
Cost is less than $2 USD each: however shipping to the US for 4 pieces was $73 USD, so I didn't follow through

Don, can you please double-check this info? I just tried the web link you mention and it's coming up with the vents at $2.39 and shipping at $5.00!

Tigerdog,
I verified the Ford part number from the vents when I was searching in '05 - price then was $1.95 each. I would verify that the shipping is $5 - the company in Turkey sent me an invoice with shipping quoted at $73 USD for 4 vents.
If the shipping costs are still high, maybe a group buy is in order for US /Canada?
I'd be in for four!

I suspect the shipping figure is wrong - the company web site is somewhat flaky and I'm assuming it didn't calculate correctly. I'll email them and see what I get.

I just emailed this company in Turkey for a shipping quote for 10 of these. I only need 2, but I assume I can find takers in the US for the rest of them. I'll let you know what I hear back.

Take one of your existing vents to the friendly local Ford dealer parts counter. Tell 'em it's from a Mustang, you think, and ask them to look up the part number. If I recall, this is common in US Fords, but only used in an obscure Turkish Ford truck in Europe. Worth a shot!

Ekapol and I got some last year from Ford. They're from a heavy duty commercial truck from the late 80-90's. Pretty cheap as I remember.

And if all fails I'll go to a Ford parts store and learn what that obscure Turkish truck is.

If you can't find any and you're not in a big hurry I can buy some and send them to you.

Well there you go. I never thought they had used them here. They are less than $3 on this Turkish site!

I didn't have any luck with my local dealers, so I went ahead and bought 10 from Turkey. They average out to about $8 each. I'm going to keep 4 of them, and I'll sell the rest here when they arrive.
