Are these fronts or rears? My set of rears came in at about £180 for the EBCs which IIRC was about £30 more expensive than getting normal discs from SJs.

Insider info Neil says your tyres and discs were ***ked before you went to the Isle of Man. We just managed to finish them off for you. What a way to do it. You'll have the new ones bedded in just right.

As for being poor- all the money youre on- no wife, no kids, no worries- you must have shed loads of disposable income just to spend on your Elan. Not like us poor retired folk.

geoffsmith wrote:Seeing as it's the nice Dave .......... your thermostat is stuck open Dave.

Compare the coolant temperature of yours and Neils runs and you'll see his is steady at ~85°C whereas yours is dropping (when you speed up and get more airflow through the rad) down to temperatures that the ECU thinks the engine is warming up. A good clue is the target idle which goes up as temperature goes down.

Have a nice day. :-D

Big thanks to Smiffy for the diagnosis :smt023

Big thanks day today :-D ,

even bigger thanks next Sunday 11/11.
