I still do not know where that would be. At the moment, I am joining LEF from Colchester to Milton Keynes on Saturday, then meeting them at the Porridge Pot in the morning.

Unless we are having a separate LEC meeting place?

no the convoy is the rendez vous at the porridge pot and then 'convoy' up the a46.....

I shall likely only be over for a day trip and although I don't expect to find Smart Car parts a I am on the look-out for a pod motor.

After finally getting around to trying to repair the droopy one it turns out it has gone so new motor (and tips on how to get the fekker replaced) is required!

If there is a convoy on the Sat or Sunday then I'll be keen to join it. Kettering A14 area onwards please!

Sunday, yep. The Porridge Pot along with LEF. Not sure what time yet, and I don't even know exactly where it is. Near Stoneleigh I imagine

I am sure its location is somewhere on the forum though.

Biggest tip to replace motor is look in the lights section there is a whole write up on this, if it still turns, but won't pop up you need the repair kit, not new motor. If you've continued using it till motors burnt out, you will have to source 2nd hand one ( nolonger available ), try Douglas Valley Breakers, theve some in at the minute, be interesting to see what price they want ?.

The Porridge Pot is where we always rendezvous on Sunday a.m. before Stoneleigh. It's the name of the pub that's co-located with the cheapo hotel (Holiday Inn) on Jct 15 of the M40.

I'd taken the top of the motor apart, and the 2 springs fell out... but the plastic cog thing was mashed so looker irrepairable. It still trurns, I think the motor bit is fine, just the stuff below in the silver metal bit I couldn't detatch. Looks like the arch lining needs to come off. I couldn't see how the repair kit could fix it. It consists of gaskets and rounded plastic bits.

Daft tart... geez! I wouldn't remember what the Porrige pot was let alone where it is! Ta for the link ;-)

I have the CD manual somewhere, I'll set JB to look at it when I can.

Looks like I will be setting off from home on Sunday morning and heading to the Porridge Pot to meet the others.
The easiest way for me looks to be via M1/M45. Can meet on the way if you want & head there together? Maybe at a service station? Northampton services or Watford Gap?

Quick warning though: I have never been to the Porridge Pot and do not have Sat Nav. I do have a good sense of direction though :lol:

This may seem like an odd question but!!!!!

As it is my first time at Stoneleigh, do the stallholders (sellers) deal in cash and/or cheque only or do they accept cards.

Ps. Is there a time yet for the get-together on sunday morning at the Porridge Pot?
