Club forming in South East Virginia

[DeanG]

I want to form a club in South East Virginia. My intention is to have a Lotus club serving the general Tidewater / SE Virginia / Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, Richmond area and all parts in-between. It will be open to all Lotus lovers, and owning a Lotus or one of its many derivatives will not be necessary (i.e., non-Lotus build 7’s and reproduction Lotus XI are welcome).

The weather is still nice; it is not too late to have a first event.

Anyone interested they can can use this forum, or contact me personally. I will be using the email address SEVA_Lotus@cos.net for this endevor/ The very basic "club" site is http://members.cox.net/seva_lotus/

Is anyone interested?

October 27 - Our first event

Meet in the parking lot of Yorktown Battlefield National Park for a noon departure to cruise the beautiful, if slow, Colonial Parkway. Then we will take a free ferry ride on the Jamestown-Scotland Ferry. From there we will take a short ride into Surry for a leisurely lunch at the Surry House. Upon finishing lunch we will return to Yorktown and roll through the restored waterfront before heading home.

Another get together in South East Virginia.

Lets go racing at American Indoor Karting in Portsmouth VA on Black Friday (November 23rd the day after Thanksgiving). It’s indoors, safe and you don’t even have to take your good car (M100) out into the madness and it beats shopping. Let’s meet at 1:30 PM at the track, 2884 Airline Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701.

Details at http://members.cox.net/seva_lotus/index.shtml#top see the calendar page.

What? Would you would rather go shopping?
