Geoff- you should know better than posting crap on a genuine thread for a proposed jaunt into Europe, and WTF has that got to do with hard tops anyway?

Stelvio is getting very popular and can get painfully busy now (thanks to programmes like TG). There are other less populated roads in the region which are nearly as good (so i gather).

Anyway i believe stelvios is one of those must dos.

So we're doing IOM in Sept, then i guess if its next year it would have to be may/june??? Blimey, 2008 seems to be getting booked up rather rapidly, got the LM Classic in July, expect i'll do the bedford trackday in august as well.

Just a thought how about doing Stelvio instead of IOM

IOM's now an annual runner Chris. Exception of 2010 when we'll hopefully be doing route 66. Was thinking about end of May for Euro rout?

I'll also be doing another June Jaunt here like last one, only different and D must come next time.

well its not the sort of trip i'd want to do in a day! 1500 miles round trip for me!!! for that sort of mileage i'm thinking probably 5 days 7 would be nice!

Plan carefully the Stelivo pass does not open till late June, and approach it from Austria unless you want to go down to come back up, and the direct road to Switzerland is not that good a road, from Switzerland it is very narrow and lots of gravel pot holes for quite away before the road gets some decent tarmac
