Stuck in 5th gear

Elan S2 M100 stuck in 5th gear. Can any body help or has any advice on what to do.

i would say one of your gear cables has snapped but i thought the S2 cables were a lot better. If your cable has snapped consider the AB cables which can be searched on this forum. Good luck.
Could the 'Hokey-Cokey' actually be what it's all about?

If it's more than simply cables (which I suspect it is), Andrew Ennis had this happen on his Medina S2. Stuck in 5th approaching a roaundabout. It was due to a big nut on the end of one of the gearbox shafts which had come loose.
He's not been around much, but drop him a PM to see if he can give you details about the fix. If he doesn't reply, tell me and I'll rattle his cage at work (assuming he's not offshore or abroad).
