Also we can convoy back as far as Cambridge in case you have any problems.

Well, the problem is I can't insure U.K reg car Denmark until I pay the tax ( it can be a long story ) and get Danish licence plate ! So I iwll try but I don't think it's work !
I check the AA site and it looks there is temp. insurance avaiable but expesive ! alternative is Can I insure the car even I'm not living in U.K ?

Someone asked on here last week about temporary insurance.
I think it was under track days???
The guy just wanted one day insurance so he could drive to and from the track day.

edit- just tried to find the actual thread. But can't :?

Most UK policies allow the holder to drive another vehicle (ie one not owned by them) 3rd party only. Can you get around it that way?

I have heard that bit before about the other car being insured, but I cannot find it on my policy. Must be in the (very) small print. The cunning devils.

As for being in the UK, I was thinking that this may not be a UK-only thing and that you could drive another car abroad on this little clause. Surely this is the type of awkward situation it is written for, not to drive it around permanently?

it looks nice seats I can also see this car on Auto Trader !

Y.Hotta

I thought those seats looked familiar! Thats my old SE. I had those seats/interior done back in 2004 after I had brought it off WillB. I sold it to a guy in Coleshill who brought it for his wife in August/September 2005. If I can help at all with the history during the time I owned it, please PM me and I'll help as much as I can. It was a good car when we sold it. I hope its been well looked after. 8)

Well, then - what's your opinion ?

I had a 'blind bid' early on, and am watching the final(ish) prices with interest - I can be part of Clemmos gang with that one :D

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

Ok- as its you.
The car is tired and damp. Seems to run OK and the oil pressure is normal. Alternator is charging normally. Might be wrong but it does appear to have had something added where the air filter should be- carbon fibre and aluminium hoses- not my field.
Front wishbones are solid ? recently replaced.
The hood is OK but very shrunk on the rubbers- bet the rain has been pissing through on this- hence the damp inside. I think it would need interior strip out and dry. It has been outside for at least 12 months and not used much in that time.
Gear selection not very precise.
Some bodywork issues, peeling laquer and n/s sill poorly repaired damage. Seats are very tired
Boot light appears to be missing disconnected or both.
Has confirmed this was HPI clear 4 yrs ago but didnt say it was now HPI clear. I would definitely do a check on this if I was bidding. Beware!!!

I lost interest when the list of probs started getting bigger.
Bearing in mind what issues might be faced £3k would be optimistic.

I wouldnt buy this with the work required at the price expected. He wants 3.5K

Thanks for that Mr T!

Bidder 2 will no longer be adding any higher numbers :-D

It was looking like it might be a bit of a bargain project to start with, but, as you say, £3.5K with that list of jobs to do places it out of my field at this stage!

Edit - sorry for any confusion - I was bidder 3!

This is one for all you N/A fans out there. It seems to be for sale in the Perth Mercedes dealer. Might be one I used to see around Aberdeen. Also might be a good buy if it is the same one.

However, £5,000 is maybe a bit dear for an N/A that's done 66,000 miles, unless it really is immaculate and it's what you're after. Maybe they'll take an offer if you point out the lack of a turbo. It's the first one I've seen with the fancy cover over the manifold. Did they all have those when they were new?
