New CDN member and wonder how the Gold Leaf Colours look

Postby daver27 » Wed 02.01.2008, 05:00

Hello everyone:

This website is a great resource.

I just purchased an M100 in the Vancouver Canada area and it is in need of paint. I was wondering if anybody out there has done the red upper/white lower with gold between paint scheme. I did it to my Europa and it looks great and it looks like the M100 will get the same treatment but I'm not certain where I should put the gold stripe on the nose and tail.

I think the Gold Leaf colours have been done every Lotus model but have never seen it on an M100.

There's only about 20 M100's in Canada so there's no way you will ever park beside the same paintjob here.

An ugly Elan? That will be a first.
The M100 is so attractive that it looks good in the worst of colours. Even Medina Green does not make it ugly. (It has a good try though :D )

Aaargh! That's the one!
If the bottom of the doors were white, the spoiler was red and the gaudy stripes reduced to just a single gold pinstripe between the white and the red then maybe, but that has been well and truly Benked. :-D

Even an Elan cannot pull that off.

Completely tasteless IMHO. Now if it was done subtly like the original, it might be a different matter.
