Well it's not on ebay, it's on Pistonheads, anyone know this car? Is it really a 1.7? I thought it a typo, until I saw all that stuff in the engine bay I don't understand - bling. Then thought maybe it's a bored out block :-D

yep sure can..
its a 1.6.

turbo

112 k miles cam at 101k.
7 previous mots
full mot
no tax.
5 prevoius owners.
16" fed wheels from swlotus a few years back.
fair few bills/paperwork.
the garage has turned down the bailey as it is/was overboosting.

it's still a good hour down the road from me ,and for £4750 no offers i rekon there are better cars out there for that money....

and if the owner was one of us, which there is a fair chance he/she was looking at the bits done to it . why not sell it private or on here..

back to my usual rant.

if somone can afford an elan , then they sure a hell can afford a computer.
if the have a computer then why not sell it on the internet themselves.
the elan club is so small its easy to sell a car to a fellow elaner.

so selling on behalf of ....

*to me usually mean 3rd party sale relinquish myself on any knowledge of faults...

i will indeed travel with someone to view this car , but to be honest they would have to be present , as it is out of my area and to far for just window shopping.

bye for now

clemo

*= this is not alway the case as some people just don't like selling cars , but that is a exception to the rule.
Jim Clark S2 - 1/12. The one with the Yellow spoke wheels . No 613 on dash (pushed in to factory in wrong order 615 on tub)

Nice one Clemo!

I also noticed the colour looks wrong, the green is too dark and not vibrant enough. On the photo of the engine bay, it looks like the pods are a dark green and the bay is the original lotus 'New Racing Green'. A miss matched cosmetic respray?
