Well I've decided it’s time to start the project thread..

Parts are mounting... garage sorted... Project help acquired..

Just need the car.... N/A, SE or S2.... Just governed by the budget...

The aim is to take a tired car and give it the full restro treatment..

The Car will be standard-ish with a few minor mods..

Heated seats, new roof, new Lotus Élan Trim (A new and different colour) and Finally a full paint job (Marmite springs to mind... You'll love it or hate it)

I currently having a punt on this one bidder 3

After the project is complete "Ellen" will get the same treatment and Hopefully.... what I've learnt will make things go a little easier.

If the description is accurate, that looks like a good buy. Don't drive it with a suspect rad, or it may let go and take the head gasket with it (like mine did).

It would be a shame to alter an NA too much (if you find one). They are rare enough already.

I'm sure this car is LEC member owned.

I remember the blackout front and side indicators and the wheels. Also saw it at Donington one year.

I agree - N/A PB with aftermarket wheels. I recall Stef asking about them back then and think the previous owner was from Notts too, but I can't remember his name.

3) Opera lights or standard

Hi, no power steering not sure what you mean by the lights and the hood looks standard not bad condition has inch long tear mark but you have to look for it, please feel free to view hope this helps as I I say can't drive to far as water leak and oil leak from sump

Hello Dave
It would be best to come and look at it as its too dark in the workshop and the car is totally surrounded by bits and pieces. About 160k miles, it would run if the battery was charged. Write off shouldnt think so but the number plate is in the pics so feel free to check. Paintwork looks original except for the front and rear bumpers. All door gaps etc are better than most I have seen. I have most of the cars history somewhere here, in fact there are bills for over 16K which has been spent on the car since new. (Not by me of course)
It looks like it never wanted for anything.
It has the original tool kit, handbook etc. A Sigma alarm system has also been fitted, as well as a decent stereo. There are also two sets of keys here somewhere. Just remembered the car also has Aircon which definately was working fine.
