I had a new one about a yr ago from Trimtech, & i think you had the choice, but not sure if they still offer complete hoods with the frames, best to give them a ring.

I have a few parts hanging about in my garage. What do you need?
Cheers,
Phil

If you are desperate I have one spare but it's been folded so I'll go and see if I can rescue it for you. I don't know exactly which bars you are after, can you take a photo? Is it the Aluminium strips? Mine are broken at the bottom, but I bent them back and sealed them.

Having removed the hardtop yesterday (to change a very shagged battery), I actually had a bit of good luck whilst working on the Elan!
When I did last years double engine change. I bought the world's most expensive bolt (Hood frame pivot, socket screw short A100B6222S) > £11.00 a piece.
I needed this because, for a long time I'd been using a variety of DIY nuts and bolts all of which fouled on the scissor action of the cantilever system when trying to deploy the hood. Anyway, when trying to fit it (it goes through two piece of the frame and screws in from the outboard side between the material and the frame) I managed to drop the little bastard down the B pillar. Low and behold, when fannying around yesterday I spotted it and with some deft use of the telescopic magnetic wand (don't you just love those babies) I got the little so and so out.
Right, this time I wasn't going to be beaten. I found an old allen key and shortened the short end, to make it easier to use between material and frame. Packed the B post void with old rags and set to.
It soon became apparent that something was amiss. If you've seen one of these little suckers you'll know that they're a 6mm x 1.25 thread with an 8 mm shoulder. The idea being that the 8mm goes through a plain hole in one piece of metal and the 6mm screws into the corresponding hole on the other part of the frame - at least, it should if the thread's not FUBAR. Which explains why it fell out last time when I thought it was securely in place.
Now I had no option but to reach for the drill and tap set. 7mm drill and 8x1.25 tap and the hole was ready. Found a standard 8x1.25 bolt - hacksawed half of the thickness of the head off and shortened it to the same length as the OEM supercost bolt, some superb filing skills and, with a sufficient amount of threadlock on the last few threads - Bob's your mom's brother!
Talk and song from tongues of lilting grace, sounds caress my ears but not a word I heard could I relay, the story was quite clear - Robert PlantIn Respectful Memory - 21st March 1959 - 14th February 2016
