LOG 28

Postby DeanG » Sat 09.02.2008, 19:41

We made our hotel reservations for the 28th annual Lotus Owners Gathering (LOG 28) July 31 – August 4, 2008 in Indianapolis Indiana.

Last year at LOG 27 in Snowmass Colorado was a load of fun. Special M100 highlights were:
* Checking out a super low mileage M100. I was able to pick up some subtle concours type things.
* Change a CAS in the parking lot at 8,100+ feet. Luckily I had help and some loaned tools.
* Seeing Dave M.s monster
* Driving the mountains

If you only go to one auto related event in 2008 this should be it.

LOG 28 registration from

Postby DeanG » Fri 28.03.2008, 00:57

The LOG 28 registration form is now online. See http://www.indylotus.com/log28.swf click on Application. The folks on Lotus Talk are already hot into a debate on auto-x classes. The show site will be at the Indy track. Plenty to see and do for both car nuts and not so nuts about cars.

LOG 28 has come and gone. Good turnout (but only a few M100's) good weather, good food, the Indy speedway is increadable, Putnam park looked like a fun track, no major incidents that I heard about...

LOG 29 - Birmingham

I couldn't make it this year, but living just 2 hours from Birmingham, there's a date marked on my calendar!

Maybe it'll come back west sometime so I can attend. Did anyone take photos?

And both are farther East than Denver, which is still farther East than I'd really want to drive the Elan, I think. San Francisco, maybe, or Portland could be good.
