A quote from MARTIN WHITMARSH from the above link
Lewis’s upper front wing had disappeared about two seconds before the accident,
That sounds strange as the front wing was still attached when he ran in to Alonso

apparently Hamilton's front wing support broke just before the impact, which explains the sudden speed differential due to loss of front downforce / drag.
so already there's conflicting views

and if that was true surley with the lost of down force shouldn't Hammy not of gone wide since it was the exit of a turn
So how do you think Alonso will do at the next race?
Hmm. A difficult question to answer. As long as they start moving up, rather than down, which i am sure they will, i would hazard a guess that both Renaults will score points in Spain. And remember, Renault are true innovators in F1. First turbo engine, several Lotus wins, 1st V10, 1st V10 win, 1st V8 win. The Anglo - French alliance is always ultimately successful, whether as an engine supplier or constructor. McLaren haven`t won a championship in a decade, only Ferrari and Renault have. Lewis had a bit of luck last year, but he`s definately in the `difficult second season` now, and if he dosen`t qualify well, he can be a poor racer, prone to mistakes, and in my opinion, vulnerable to over-rating his own ability. Oh, and add to that McLaren`s legendary ability to clutch defeat from the jaws of victory.
Ferrari will win both titles this year. (Raikkonen)
Renault will be back winning races in 2009 (Alonso)
