I suppose we need to distinguish between plain and fancy handles as Ailwyn smartly did........

1. Elanlover (fancy pulls + handles)
2. theelanman (pulls + handles)
3. Ailwyn (fancy pulls + handles)
4. Ailwyn (fancy pulls + handles)[/quote]

correct me if i'm wrong but it seems that the total cost would be 260£ for a set of handles + cost for pulls (whatever that is)

Somewhere around $220-$250 (143 to 163 Euro) for a pair of door pulls is correct.
Door 'pull' being the part you pull the door closed with - see below: -

The smaller lever forward of the door pull has yet to be designed and establish its cost.

Would the fancy handles be coming in an anodized or colored finish? Just wondering if the color representation is something I need to consider before making a judgement!

The cost is for a mirror polished finish - easier to take care of than a colored anodize?

Come on Matt RI, you know you want them! I keep thinking how fantastic they will look in my white Elan. Surely, they will look almost as good in your white one

I'd probably clear coat them for protection and to reduce maintenance.

A lot of you indicated initial interest. If the price or other things have put you off and you are no longer thinking about these items please indicate so. At least we won't have to guess who's out versus who just hasn't responded yet. Thanks.

Plain, brushed aluminium (or anodized) and a lower price (£150 all in for both, eg £75 per side and it's a no brainer) and I'd be in like a shot for the plain, non-fancy handles and pulls.

But mirror finish sounds vulgar (someone commented on the Audi TT, but that has a lot of matt aluminium, with very little real brightwork) and I like the shape of the existing items, just not the cheapo materials.

erm
the handles are in effect £57.50 and £65 each...depending on which design you have...and for a brushed finish a scotch brite pad is all you'll need :-D ......

still a no brainer

The price - effectively £122.50 per side, or £245 to do the job - does put me off, a tad.

G.

I think your price is for door pulls only, I think the higher price is the estimate for handles + pulls.

That's how I read it

£70 per side for both and I'd be on it like a rash
