my name is wavering......
I want to put a new turbo on mine.....I thought this would be ideal.....
however its turning a little expensive for me....
I can have my OEM unit refurb'd for a lot less and Ive got myself booked in for very expensive respray when I get back from LMC.....

Im meeting paulw at the end on the month so I'll have a look see at his and have a chat with him about it all.......I think thats my deadline date..
sorry to be a fence sitter...but its a £££££££ issue.....

oh and the mrs is still after the new kitchen......

I am intested in this stage I and II option, but because I invest alot * of money in my Elan this offer is to early for me.

I made the choice to do the brakes first, so would it possible to order the turbo-uprgade allround Feb 2009?

unfortunately this may be a one shot deal. I'm not planning on doing a second run as it were. If need be and there is a concensus of everyone involved, the date can be pushed back alittle but again, depending on how far may affect pricing as I"m trying to beat a price hike for steel and for the turbos.

Since the #2 kit is now the advanced kit, you haven`t listed the heatshield in your above quote as that was in the original price, so are we not getting this now + could i get a gasket too plz
If it`s possible i would like the Downpipe Jet Hot coated too

Marie, ive been reading your project thread again, & see the wastegate supplied with the turbo was not up to the extra boost, so will you be sending the turbo with the wastegate supplied or with whatever you decided to use, or do we have an option ?

Paul P. has brought up one more point that i overlooked. The turbos that Ekapol and I have are equiped with 12PSI wastegates. this means that they crack at 12 PSI. Fine if your running the Everst chip or want to go higher but not so good if you wish to run the stock settings. All turbos will come equiped with the 6PSI wastegates unless otherwise specified.There is NO effect on pricing for either of the wastegate options.

The reason that Ekapol and I went with the higher rated gates was that we wanted to go to higher boost levels (over 1 bar) and the 6 PSI gate was struggling to keep closed at that preasure, even with a boost controller.

I have permission from the financial controller but like some others my preference is to source the Turbo in the UK as import duty and VAT (which will be payable even if US taxes have been paid) will add significantly to the cost, the option offered by Paul Watkins is therefore an attractive one. I'm therefore in for an advanced kit and have updated the list accordingly.
