Doing a little paper-pushing I've found the source of the fans on my recently acquired yellow Elan. They were bought at the site above, both bolting onto the original OEM factory points.

The one to get is the Maradyne 9" Low Profile Fan. On the page above search for: 9" Low Profile Fan *

They are mounted using 4 small metal tabs (per fan) with two 90-deg bends in each tab. Not sure if the tabs came when he ordered the fans. If not this would do the trick http://store.summitracing.com/partdetai ... =flx-32124

The fans word great, keep the car very cool, and are noticably smoother/quieter/less-vibration, and it seems less energy-draw than the OE fans too.

The fan is great but what about the radiator? Does anyone know what cars make and model has a fed radiator will fit our car?

I bought two of these fans and hope toinstall them in the next few weeks.

Matt (and all) I've just pulled one of the OEM fans off the car and this maradyne fan fits the factory mounts perfectly. Its a simple transplant to install these fans. The only exception is that the plug from the old fan needs to be cut off and spliced into the wiring of the new fan so it mates with the OEM wiring. A ten minute job and probably about 1 hour tops for the whole thing.

Ok, maybe 2 hours There's always something with our cars that makes a seemingly simple job more intricate. However, now that they are installed I can say that they are much quiter, cool much faster and draw less current than the OEM fans. This is a worthwhile little upgrade
